Up for sale is a brand new, factory-sealed Retrode 2 bundle that includes the base unit, the N64 adapter and the Gameboy adapter. One of the most valuable features of this device (in my opinion) is that it allows you to back up the save files on your physical cartridges. This is the easiest method for transferring save files or creating ROM dumps. When you connect it to your computer, it functions similarly to a flash drive where you can drag and drop your save files back and forth and create ROMs on your computer directly from your cartridge. Backing up your saves is important in case you want to save them forever, or if you want to swap out the battery in your cartridge. Most of those batteries were manufactured in the early 90's so their lifespans are quickly coming to an end. I was able to back up mine at the end of 2019. I'm not sure how much longer they would've lasted but I feel relieved to have my childhood saves intact. Features:- You can extract the save files from your cartridges- You can inject save files from emulators (NOT save-states) onto your cartridges- You can dump your Super Nintendo / Super Famicom or Sega Genesis / Mega Drive cartridges into ROMs to back them up legally- 2 Super Nintendo controller ports and 2 Genesis controller ports built-in and you can play directly from the cartridge using an emulator using these controller ports- Expandable to work with other systems like the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy using adapters (included in this bundle) Important: You need to change the voltage setting on the Retrode 2 base unit depending on which type of game you are playing. With the N64 adapter, voltage should be set to 3.3v. And for the Gameboy adapter, you should keep it at 5v for Gameboy Classic and Gameboy Color games, but you need to change it to 3.3v for Gameboy Advance games. Failure to use the correct voltage could possibly cause damage to the unit. Shipping is FREE and I'll ship out via expedited USPS Priority Mail within 1 business day of receiving payment.
